Our House System
Our House System
We are excited to introduce our new House System, designed to promote teamwork, positive behaviour, and a sense of belonging across our school community. Every pupil will be part of one of four houses, each named after an inspiring British innovator:
-
Abraham Darby (Red) – Pioneer of iron production
Motto: “Forge the Future.”
Symbolising strength, innovation, and progress through determination.
-
James Watt (Yellow) – Inventor of the steam engine
Motto: “Power Through Progress.”
Celebrating ingenuity and the drive to transform ideas into motion.
-
Frank Whittle (Blue) – Creator of the jet engine
Motto: “Soar Beyond Limits.”
Encouraging ambition, creativity, and reaching new heights.
-
Percy Shaw (Green) – Inventor of cats’ eyes road markers
Motto: “Guiding the Way.”
Representing vision, safety, and leadership in innovation.
Children will earn house points for effort, achievement, and positive contributions. Points will be celebrated weekly, and termly rewards will recognise the winning house. Each house will also have two House Captains, one from year 6 and one from year 5, to lead and inspire their teams.
We launched this exciting initiative with a special assembly and look forward to seeing our pupils thrive as they work together to achieve success!
