On Friday 30^th January, Year 1 hosted a DT parent workshop where parents helped their children design a drawbridge from a cereal box. The children used their existing skills of making a pulley system to create their final product. They shared their knowledge with their parent/carers and worked together to design the bridge. We added lots of our own ideas and cross-curricular links, like adding a porch, battlements and windows. Everyone had a great time working together.
